I discovered that my children were affected by Von Willebrand’s when they were 7 and 4 years old and I became a member of the Lone Star Chapter immediately. When I joined the Lone Star Chapter 6 years ago, I felt so welcomed by everyone. I felt like I finally was able to understand what my daughters were going through. As I started to understand more about bleeding disorders I became an advocate for us all living with a bleeding disorder. I was honored to become an ambassador for Texas Bleeding Disorder Coalition two years ago. Every year that passes I am more involved with The Lone Star Chapter. I would love to take my involvement in the chapter to the next level by being a board member. I am so passionate about this cause and would be ecstatic to have an opportunity to be a board member.
